Learn more about Nth's most important asset – its people in our "I am the Nth Generation" series.

What’s your job title? Account Development Specialist

How many years have you been with Nth? Coming up on 5 months

What does a typical day for you at Nth look like? I start the day collaborating/catching up with my team, and then I get straight into work. Work in my role centers on connecting with qualified white space accounts and appointing meetings for Nth’s account managers. Additionally, I consistently strategize with our partners on how we can spur up opportunities with potential clientele.

Which fellow Nth’er(s) inspire you and why? The San Diego based Account Managers (Carol Herr, Tim McCauley, and Julie León) have all been a huge inspiration to me. Each embody the professionalism, intelligence, and work ethic I aspire to develop in the years to come.

What led you to this career/working at Nth? I developed a passion for sales out of college and came across an opening ADS position through Julie León.

What is one of your favorite things about your job? I love speaking with new people every day. I find great satisfaction aligning those with unique IT and security challenges/initiatives to our super talented team here at Nth.

What is a work accomplishment you are proud of? Last month (March 2023), I scheduled a total of 9 qualified meetings. In my short time here, I feel I have established a name for myself and look forward to continually growing.

What motivates you at work? The friendly competition of booking meetings between the ADS team and becoming better versed in IT/CS knowledge.

What is one of the biggest lessons you’ve learned in your career? KISS (keep it simple, stupid). I have continually succeeded by keeping my interactions with clientele simple and problem- oriented, clarifying if they have a need or problem, and leveraging Nth’s unique skills and resources as a solution.

What was your first job? My first job was as a cashier at a deli in Santa Cruz, CA when I was 15. I worked throughout high school and community college and landed my first sales position at Whova after graduating from San Diego State University.

What is the best career advice you’ve received? Work as hard as you can. Working at a high pace and giving it your 100% will eventually pay off and positively differentiate you from others.

What is your favorite place that you’ve travelled to? Greece! My girlfriend and I embarked on a two-week journey around the Greek Islands after my college graduation.

What is your favorite movie and/or book? My favorite novel is Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky, and my favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Describe your ideal weekend. Quality time with my girlfriend, visiting a new spot in San Diego, lounging at the beach on a sunny day, and sleeping in.

What 3 items would you bring with you to a deserted island? Machete, firestarter, and a net to catch fish.

What is your perfect meal? Sashimi. Tons of sashimi.

What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? A boiled baby octopus.

What do you like to do for fun? Read, lounge at the beach, hike, visit new restaurants/taprooms, and listen to music.

What was your first concert? My first concert was Steel Pulse at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. My first CD was Gorillaz first album that my friend’s babysitter burned for me when I was 7.
