"Holographic Storage is Here!"

Presentation Description
Holographic storage has long been a dream for scientists in the data storage area. Some might say it was more like science fiction than a possible reality. However, the scientists and engineers at InPhase Technologies have beaten the odds. They have developed the recording material as well as the drive technology that enables massive amounts of data to be stored on a single disk. InPhase will introduce the first holographic drive and media to the market place in 2007. The first generation drive will have a capacity of 300GB, which is the equivalent of 64 DVDs or 12 single sided blu-ray discs. Future generations will reach beyond 1 TB per disk. The presentation will provide a technical overview of how holographic storage works, as well as provide an exciting and compelling business case for holographic products in the enterprise environment.
