Virtualization is no longer a bleeding edge technology but a proven solution that allows companies to gain a strategic advantage in the marketplace. The most common road blocks to successfully implementing this exciting technology is not knowing what servers are out there, how much their utilized and which ones are candidates for virtualization. Matthew Weiner from Nth Generation will explore how to take a proactive approach to getting these questions answered and understanding the CapEx and OpEx savings opportunities by moving to a virtual environment. Matthew will co-present with Guy Hansen from SDG&E and Dan Molina, CTO from Nth Generation.
Speaker Biography
Matthew Weiner is responsible for the Server Consolidation program management at Nth Generation. Matthew continually evaluates new server virtualization practices and vendors in order to provide Nth's clients with the leading industry information on the best consolidation opportunities. Along with managing the server consolidation practice, Matthew also provides project management services for many of Nth's largest clients such as Élan Pharmaceuticals, Mattel and Vivendi. Along with his project management professional (PMP) accreditation in 2006, Matthew holds a Masters degree in Information & Decision Systems from San Diego State University and Bachelor's degrees in Management Information Systems and Strategic management from Sacramento State University.
