Speaker Biography
Mike Sparkes has 30 years experience in the storage industry in a variety of positions. Initially, he managed mainframe systems and then storage products for Unisys, Australia. Later, Mike served as Product Marketing Manager for Asia/Pacific for Quantum. Currently, he hollods the position as Product Marketing Manager for Quantum's Enterprise Disk products. Being involved with disk based backup systems since the first open systems VTLs in the early 1990's, Mike is proud to be associated today with the latest data de-duplication systems from Quantum Corporation.
Mike studied Electrical Engineering at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
