Speaker Biography
Rich Colarusso is the America's Business Manager responsible for the XP family of Enterprise disk platforms and Utility Ready Storage Business manager encompassing the full spectrum of Storage infrastructure to support the Enterprise pay-per-use model. Since joining HP in 1971, Rich has spent decades working directly with customers within a broad range of industries. He has an extensive background that encompasses management, technical marketing and communications, sales, sales support, training and engineering positions. Rich is a much sought after consultant and is known as a motivational, dynamic and energetic speaker who has represented the corporation around the globe.
Prior to Rich's current position he was a Marketing Manager and a Technical Consultant responsible for strategic planning and architecting complex solutions that included servers, storage, software and services with Fortune 1000 corporations.
During his first ten years at HP, Rich participated in engineering design teams developing Central processors, Memory architectures and I/O subsystems for communication to disk and tape peripherals which lead to numerous group patents. He is a member of the National Training Laboratory for organizational development and is an IEEE Electric Engineer in good standing. Rich has received the Customer Interaction Excellence Award and has been acknowledged with multiple awards recognizing outstanding performance and contributions.
Rich has a Business Administration degree from Boston University and an Electrical Engineering degree from Northeastern University.
