Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Jan Baldwin serves as Nth Generation’s leader and primary advocate. She works in partnership with Nth’s board of directors to ensure the company fulfills its mission. She also leads Nth’s Executive Team in creating strategies to ensure the company’s continued success.
Jan founded Nth Generation Consulting in 1994, leading the organization for ten successful years through 2006 when it became part of Nth Generation. At that time, she became Executive Vice President of Nth Generation and in 2011 was named CEO.
With over 30 years in the computer industry, from programmer/analyst and system administrator to company founder and CEO, Jan Baldwin brings a wealth of business experience and passion to her role as leader of Nth Generation.
Chief Strategy Officer
Richard Baldwin began his technology career in 1968, programming business applications for IBM System 360 mainframe computers. After working for San Diego Trust and Savings Bank’s IT department and for GE Software International, he spent 14 years building UserWare. During this time, he ran a computer service bureau, a time-sharing service, and developed a relational database software development tool called USER-11 and USER-BASE. In late 1980’s, after selling his interest in the company, Rich started and successfully managed three companies, including Nth Generation Computing, which he founded in 1991. Nth developed a focus on StorageWorks in the early 1990′s and has since become the leading HP enterprise server, storage, software, networking, and desktop virtualization specialist in the Western United States. Nth is also an elite business partner with VMware, CommVault, Intel, Microsoft, and other leading suppliers.
Rich’s vision, fueled by his commitment to cutting edge technology, client education, service and support, as well as technical excellence, was the key to taking Nth from a one-man start-up to the $50 million dollar enterprise it is today. Nth Generation provides best-of-breed server, storage, backup and data protection solutions, in addition to offering advanced technical training for clients through Nth University. Nth also offers a full range of IT lifecycle and consulting services through Nth’s Professional Services division. As a result, Nth Generation has become a trusted advisor to over 600 Southern California enterprises, including Los Angeles County, Jack in the Box, UCLA,USC, Behr, Irvine Company, Screen Actors Guild, Herbalife, CalOptima, Warner Bros., Carefusion, Huntington Hospital, Pacific Life, Bridgepoint, Elan, Cubic, Sempra Energy, GoodRich, Fidelity, City of Santa Monica, City of Pasadena, Loma Linda University, Korn Ferry, Epicor and GIA.
Chief Technology Officer
Dan has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and has been with Nth Generation since 2000. He is responsible for Nth’s Research and Development initiatives, as well as helping to identify, research, evaluate and incorporate leading-edge IT technologies into Nth’s solutions and services portfolio. Dan has been a business owner for over 5 years and has developed widely adopted ASIC‐testing software while working as a Software Engineer at Hughes Aircraft.
Dan completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at the UCSD in 1992 and a Master’s of Science Degree in Executive Leadership at USD in 2009. As part of his Master Program, Dan completed multiple research papers and presentations on the emerging Cloud Computing megatrend starting in 2008.
Dan brings extensive design and consulting experience in the areas of Converged and Virtual Infrastructure, Data Protection, Business Continuity, Software Defined Data Center, Mobility, Security, Big Data Analytics, Hybrid Clouds and other related Enterprise IT solutions. Nth Generation is proud to announce that Dan Molina has been a multi-year Finalist for the San Diego Tech Executive of the Year Award. Dan is currently a member of Nth’s Executive Leadership team.
Executive Vice President &
Joyce joined Nth Generation Computing in July of 2011, bringing over 30 years of Finance experience in the IT Industry. She is responsible for Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Payroll & Benefits. She is a trusted advisor of the Executive Team and to the company Founders. Joyce brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in Strategic & Operational Planning, Financial Planning & Analysis, General Accounting, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Corporate-Level legal matters.
Prior to joining Nth Generation, Joyce served for over a decade as the Chief Financial Officer for San Diego Data Processing, a non-profit provider of technology services. As a member of the Senior Management Team, she was heavily involved in strategic planning and responsible for budgeting, financial planning, accounting, treasury, administration, procurement, and the rate negotiation process.
Joyce earned her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
Director of Partner & Business Development
Harry joined Nth Generation as the Director of Partner & Business Development in July 2013. Bringing over 25 years of experience with top IT sales organizations, Harry has extensive industry background with a reputation for integrity and business ethics. At Nth, Harry leads the Business Development Team and coordinates with partner sales teams to identify and strategize joint opportunities.
Prior to joining Nth, Harry worked for Technology Integration Group (TIG) where, as a Branch Manager, he was responsible for sales and operations management. Prior to TIG, Harry worked at Sarcom for 15 years, where he served as Vice President of Sales for 10 years.
Harry attended the University of Hawaii and earned a BA in Accounting.
Director, Professional Services
Ferdi Tatad has been with Nth Generation for over 6 years. He joined Nth following a 23 year career at Hewlett Packard (formerly DEC, then Compaq) where he held a number of different positions, including Field Engineer, Unit Manager and Project Manager. Currently, Ferdi manages Nth’s Post Sales Engineering and Technical Editing teams and oversees all technical escalations, working with each of Nth’s partner manufacturers, as applicable. Ferdi continues to refine and develop methodologies, as well as tools and programs around implementations, upgrades, and services. Ferdi also manages Nth’s extensive reach of technical certifications, ensuring all needed certifications are assigned, attained, and maintained.
Ferdi is not only a valued member of Nth Generation, he is also a well-respected member of Nth Generation’s E-Team. Ferdi continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. Ferdi holds a BS degree in Business Management.
Jeri Lyn Egbert
Director of Marketing
Jeri joined Nth Generation in October 2013 as the Director of Marketing. At Nth, Jeri is responsible for driving the marketing strategy and execution. Bringing over 18 years of experience in marketing communications and event marketing, she has an extensive B2B and B2C marketing background.
Prior to joining Nth, Jeri worked for PacketVideo Corporation, where she was responsible for the marketing strategy and execution for both the B2B Corporate Marketing and the B2C branding and marketing. Prior to that, Jeri worked at tech companies throughout San Diego, which included DivX and Jabra.
Jeri is a member of the Nth Generation E-Team.
VP of Technical Services
Todd has been with Nth Generation since August 1, 1993, and has the dubious distinction of being Nth’s first hired employee. Todd oversees Nth’s pre-sales engineering team, systems integration, project management, and internal IT. During his time with Nth Generation, Todd has developed the engineering team into a Full-service IT Organization. Further, he has developed many of the best practices for services that Nth Generation’s customers presently enjoy.
Prior to narrowing his scope to engineering and IT, Todd was responsible for shipping, receiving, integration, data center build-outs and moves, phones, internet, facilities, security, technical team management, and customer support. As a result, he has a strong understanding of the people and processes required to run the company efficiently.
Todd was a key member of the Strategic Team that charted Nth Generation’s Mission, Vision, Values and Strategy. He currently sits on the Corporate E-team and continues to help drive the strategic direction of the company, while also bringing a “Customer First” approach to our decision making processes. Todd attended Coleman University where he earned a Degree in Computer Programming.
Director of Operations
Stephanie joined Nth Generation Computing in August of 2000 as a Purchasing Assistant. During her ten-plus year tenure, she has developed and grown with the company and is now responsible for Inside Sales, Service Contracts, Purchasing, Invoicing, Operations, and Internal Business Applications. She is the resident expert on the financial aspects of our partner programs, pricing rules, and rebates.
Prior to joining Nth Generation Computing, Stephanie was the Operations Manager for SpeedPlay Inc., where she was responsible for raw component inventory, manufacturing, subassemblies and processes, purchasing, and sales. As a manager in a start-up company, her responsibilities were broad-based and she was a key contributor to developing and streamlining new processes.
Stephanie is a member of Nth Generation’s e-team. Stephanie attended San Diego State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
Manager of HR & Shared Services
Joining Nth in February of 2009, Karen serves as the Manager of Human Resources and Shared Services. Participating as a member of the executive leadership team, she is responsible for leading Nth’s overall HR strategy and operations. Karen leads and coordinates all HR processes, including recruiting, training and development, day-to-day operations, standards, compensation, employee relations, policies and procedures. She is responsible for ensuring effective delivery of HR programs and services across all departments to meet the needs of the business.
During her first year at Nth, Karen was instrumental in the creation of the company’s Shared Services group, which she continues to manage today. Under Karen’s management, this team supports Administrative, Marketing, Project Management, Operations, Pre-sales and Post-sales activities.
Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of San Diego, a Juris Doctor from Western State University School of Law, a Human Resources Management certification from California State University, San Marcos, as well as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification.
