Nth Generation has two Southern California offices: Corporate Headquarters in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego and a satellite office in Irvine. Relocation will not be provided.

Nth Generation is currently seeking a hardworking, successful individual for the position of Inside Sales.

POSITION SUMMARY

You are responsible for the technical and administrative support of the Enterprise Sales team. You will accomplish this by providing excellent customer service through generating sales quotations configuring, pricing, sourcing complex enterprise infrastructure solutions and sales administration tasks for NTH and our partners. This position will work closely with the Director of Operation, Sales Account Managers and vendor partners while always maintaining the Nth Corporate Culture (see Appendix A). This is a Salaried Exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include, but not limited to, the following:

  •  Support Account Managers as first point of contact to the Client.
  •  Prepare and follow-up quotes as required by Account Managers.
  •  Prepare quotations, follow up and help close service contract renewals
  •  Assist the Director of Operations in managing our partner programs including registration programs, special pricing programs, service contract renewals and other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Operations.
  • Utilize corporate and vendor supplied software tools for configuration, quoting, pricing, etc.
  • Responsible for pricing: negotiate and maintain special pricing allowances with a variety of vendors, solicit quotes from vendors, etc.
  • Maintain current Special pricing letters. Fill out required pricing requests. Avoid expirations on current deals. Track changes and turnaround time from partner.
  • Understand vendor registration programs and how it relates to customer quotes, cost/sell price, discounts, etc.
  • Meet RFP and RFQ deadlines with strategic pricing. Prepare all documents timely and accurately and provide completed details to facilitate management signature. Coordinate delivery efforts to meet deadline requirements.
  • Produce sales from inbound calls.
  • Resolution of technical issues.
  • Respond to inquiries about product, pricing, services and delivery schedules.
  • Enter quote requests in a timely manner and use ISR overflow inbox for quote requests that cannot be entered within 4 hours.
  •  Excellent teamwork skills - Check ISR inbox for overflow coverage as you have time to help. Notify manager if queue becomes unmanageable and additional resources are needed or priorities need to be defined/juggled. Provide backup when other team members are out of the office.
  •  Manage quotes through the queue of approvals. Escalate any unresolved or exceedingly long delays to management.Learn and understand the needs of assigned accounts and be able to match products and services to satisfy them profitably.
  • Update and maintain Client Relationship Management system (CRM) using FileMaker Pro.
  • Maintain product knowledge and training.
  • Participate in staff meetings and accounts review/planning sessions.
  •  Attend trade shows, workshops, and training sessions as directed by management.
  • Proactively provide feedback, relating to client issues, to other staff members. Carry company-issued cell phone and wireless Blackberry device. Makes best effort to respond to calls and emails from the office, both during and after business hours.Keep accurate records and notes regarding all client projects, including timekeeping, documentation, project plans, trip reports and status reports.
  • Flexible with demands on time and able to deal with frequent and last minute scheduling changes.
  • As business and operational demands dictate, additional duties may be assigned and expected to be performed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education and / or Experience

Business Administration degree preferred; Sales, Pre-Sales and/or Technical experience in an enterprise, server and storage industry required; Knowledge with vendor supply software tools (i.e. SalesBuilder, Web Based Configuration tool, etc.) is necessary.

• Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Outstanding communication skills, self-motivation, and good organization skills.
  • Ability to project warmth and enthusiasm with in-person and phone contacts. Must be a self-starter.
  • Proficient PC skills required, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internet Explorer, FileMaker, etc.
  • Effectively use Nth internal contact and quoting system in FileMaker
  • Excellent follow-up skills.
  • Able to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with clients.
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of a wide variety of technical information requests, and responds quickly to information and pricing requests.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments, travel schedules, and presentation requests in an unstructured environment.
  • Highly developed communications skills for interacting with clients effectively. Can independently handle difficult client situations.
  • Ability to maintain a courteous, professional manner with clients at all times and work well under stress.
  • Ability to interface internally with all departments and externally with outside sales, clients, and partners. Must be a team player and pitch in to help team members meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively under remote supervision.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Able to remain flexible to constantly changing business demands
