Rich Lindberg, the newest addition to our Nth Generation security team, recently presented at the ISACA Orange County Chapter meeting on Tuesday, April 17th in Irvine, CA. The meeting was a CPE accredited event discussing the Center for Internet Security® (CIS) Controls™ v7.0 and overview of the Risk Assessment Method v1.0.
CIS® Center for Internet Security®
The CIS® designed and prioritized the CIS Controls™ in order to prevent or detect the most common causes of cybersecurity events as determined by a community of information security professionals. As a result, CIS Controls™ V7 has risk considerations at its core.
The objective of the Center for Internet Security® Risk Assessment Method (CIS RAM) is to help organizations plan and justify their implementation of CIS Controls™ Version 7, whether those controls are fully or partially operating.
